Overview
Len Anderson, an Arizona-based independent ASP DOT-NET and Cold Fusion programmer, is available for large scale projects. Background includes database development and deployment, c++ programming, ASP, DOT-NET, dreamweaver, director, flash,
DHTML (CSS/JavaScript), java, marketing, sales and project management. Len can take you through every aspect of your web presence - but most importantly he will leave you with a web site that is truly yours - with every aspect being "dynamic" and updated from a web interface.

Operating Systems:

  • MAC OSx
  • Windows 98/ME
  • Windows 2000 server/professional
  • Windows XP Professional, Server 2003
  • Linux (all varieties)

Background
Over 20-years of experience in the on-line industry, starting in 1985- long before the Internet became a reality. In those days BBS systems were the equivalent of today's "internet"- Len's first company ResNova Software (covered below) was the first graphical BBS, and a prelude to Mosaic and what we now call a browser- like Explorer or Netscape.

Current skills of interest include:

  • ASP
  • HTML, DHTML (CSS/JavaScript)
  • DOT-NET
  • Cold Fusion (Dreamweaver as coding tool)
  • Microsoft SQL, MYSQL
  • Crystal Reports/ Enterprise
  • IIS
  • Network Administration/Design, Windows 2000, NT, Linux
  • Netscape Iplanet LDAP server
  • Netscape Web Server (NT)
  • Macintosh-PC integration, coexistence.

Right before the World Wide Web and HTML became a standard, Len co-founded ResNova Software with Alex Hopmann and Greg Herlihy which developed the first graphical BBS in 1988. ("NovaLink Professional", in 1993 renamed "NovaServer") By 1995 ResNova created "Web for One "- the first web server software for the Macintosh and was purchased by Microsoft.  Web for one was then included with the personal web server that was bundled with Microsoft Explorer for Macintosh.  Tens of Millions of copies are in use today!  Alex Hoppman, the original founder of ResNova, went on to work for Microsoft and over time became a lead programmer for Microsoft Exchange- the eventual evolution of NovaServer and a realization of Alex's initial vision in 1988. Greg Herlihy, the 3rd co- founder of ResNova signed-on with Microsoft as well and went on to work on explorer for the Macintosh. The concepts of ResNova and Novalink set the standard and direction of many popular tools we now use every day.

Projects of note which have been completed in the past include an internal regional technical monitoring system for US West, email systems for the US House of Representatives (pre-internet), a stock quote system for the Nasdaq Stock Exchange (pre-internet) and internal BBS systems for Boeing, Hughes Aircraft, Rockwell and McDonald Douglas, the Flagstaff Chamber Homepage, Cliff Castle Casino, Flagstaff Medical Center, The Grand Canyon Railway and Mesa Verde National Park for the National Park Service.

With over ten (10) years of experience in MSQL, LINUX, Mac OS, Cold Fusion, Java, JavaScript and Flash/Director, Len provides all the talents needed for database design, web design and deployment. Len's database experience started with Dbase, Double Helix and Fox Base, in the late '80s.

Trails of Time and Southwestern Trails were full-blown interactive CD ROMs developed in 1995 in director and flash.  Copies sold in the thousands in park gift shops and bookstores and were used in schools, libraries and kiosks.  (Samples are available upon request) This was Len's next endeavor after ResNova and allowed for more "creative" skills to be applied.

Current and Recent Network Administration w/web integration :

Prescott Valley Charter Schools
This network was designed, configured and installed by Len. It is a fully-managed active directory network with over 200 users, and 100 computers. 3 Domain controllers manage the 100 user computers, with filtered internet access and a full implementation of Microsoft Exchange. Len conducts training on the use of the network, and microsoft exchange. The district has multiple biddings which are inner-connected via wireless bridges. Full remote access and exchange access is in place.

Ann Clare Learning Academy
Ann Clare Learning Academy (Prescott, AZ) was open for 3 years and provided a 100% computer-based curriculum known as "Orchard" for troubled middle-school teens who were not making it in rational public school or specialized schools such as Excel. Security and user privilege through Ac rive Directory was of utmost importance as most students leaned towards trouble-making and had exceptional intelligence. Group policy, use of LDAP extensibility, server redundancy, remote access and "groupware" through Microsoft Exchange were key components. The networks grew to 4 AD servers, and 24 user computers.
